On July 19 (1-9pm) and 20 (12-6pm) 2014, Senayah Design and PULP will create another dynamic activity hub at the BIG on Bloor street festival in Bloordale. Building on last year’s success with Card Yard we will curate interactive and community-led programming in a pop-up public realm designed and constructed of repurposed materials. Check out Card Yard 2013 here.
Our goal this year is to enable collaboration between participating artists and programmers in the development of the space, so that activities and installations can reinforce one another to create a beautiful, comfortable and stimulating space.
Card-Yard seeks to present interactive projects stations by artists, architects, poets and social activists, community organizations to create a participation village specifically for Bloordale’s BIG on Bloor Festival. The festival is a high profile event that saw 85,000 visitors last year, and keeps growing.
